Welcome to our Friday July 4th 2025 Newsletter (issue 17).
This week we've been steeped in revision and end of year assessments, rehearsals, rehearsals, tests, more rehearsals and preparations for our next and final end of year event! Never a dull moment at Si Ri Panya.
However, even though all of that sounds intense, which it is, our students take it in their stride! They can handle it, because they are balanced and we see that it in their actions. If they feel overwhelmed, like we all do from time to time, they know who they can talk to or how to look after themselves before they get too stressed.
This is no small thing, in fact it is one of the biggest things they will take away from school this year as they continue to develop into excellent upstanding members of our wider school and world community.
Talking of which, here are years 1-5 who enjoyed an interesting discussion based assembly on the subject of luck, abundance, charity and giving to others when we have more than we need. It was full of facinating stories from our students about their encounters with people in need.

Futsal Clinic, hosted by reLOVElution FC

Secondary students had the opportunity to have a FUTSAL masterclass this week during enrichment. Futsal is a fast-paced, indoor version of football played with five players on each team. It’s played on a smaller, hard court with a smaller, low-bounce ball, which helps players develop quick thinking, close control, and sharp passing skills. Futsal is known for its emphasis on skill, creativity, and teamwork.
Student Voice in Action: New 4-Week Lunch Menu from September

We love hearing from our students—and we always listen. After receiving feedback that they’d like even more variety in our school lunches, our chef has made a small but exciting change. Starting in Term 1 (September), we’ll be moving from a three-week lunch menu rotation to a four-week cycle. This change was supported at the last Board meeting, with parent reps in full agreement.
The students continue to praise the delicious quality of the meals, and we’re proud to say the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. By adding just one extra week to the cycle, we’ve been able to introduce even more variety and keep things fresh—without changing the meals everyone loves.

Term 1 Secondary Enrichment - Bigger and Better!

We have been looking at ways to make our enrichment programme more diverse and engaging, with a range of creative, practical and physical activities for Secondary students to choose from. We are also adding an extra homework club session (with two sessions a week now) for those students who need support either with the content or to develop their independent study skills.
As well as new activities, we will be running enrichment every day of the week from September, with school finishing at 4pm every day.
This week students are making their requests for Term 1 so that we can begin the new school year with a draft timetable in place. We are also hoping to add some additional off-site options over the next few weeks - watch this space!

Ready, Steady ... Jump!
Year 7, 8 & 9 have been competing in a high jump competition in our athletics topic. The highest jump recorded was a whopping 1.34m by Sean in Year 8. National high jump records for the scissors technique are between 1.30 - 1.40m so it was a fantastic achievement!
