EDT A leader in international school evaluation, renowned for its thorough and objective inspections that promote high-quality education. The International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) is a prestigious accreditation that recognises schools meeting rigorous standards in teaching, leadership, pupil support, and management, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
During the latest inspection conducted in October 2024, EDT inspectors praised several aspects of our school. Below are some highlights from their report:
Welcoming Atmosphere: “Arrival procedures are orderly and full of opportunities for communication with parents. ” Inspectors noted a warm and supportive school environment where pupils across primary and secondary feel safe and happy.
Effective Pastoral Care: Inspectors praised the school’s pastoral systems, including detailed and thorough Individual Support Plans (ISP) with SMART targets and clear next steps: “The pastoral lead holds a weekly meeting with the SENCO and heads of secondary and primary to review pupils’ progress. Patterns are identified, and preventative measures put in place.”
Orderly and Purposeful Classrooms: During their tour of the school, inspectors observed: “Business is orderly and purposeful throughout, with excellent relationships between teachers and pupils visible everywhere. Classrooms are fresh and welcoming, with plenty of space and a high standard of teaching resources.”
Creativity in Learning: The secondary pupils’ project to design an eco-friendly playground for the local temple earned particular praise: “The imagination on show was striking, in response to a demanding brief: pupils need to source materials, and address construction issues, among other challenges.”
Empowered Pupil Voice: Secondary pupils expressed how their ideas influence school life: “They could offer examples of how the student voice has brought about change—different footballs and cookies—and they feel seen and heard by the school.”
Leadership and Strategic Development: Inspectors highlighted the leadership team’s strategic focus: “Everything is firmly based on the school’s six values: respect, community-mindedness, balance, responsibility, honesty, and resilience.”
