This week we bring you positive news and highlights of work done and learning taking place across Primary and Secondary. Everyday there are great things at school happening, which provide our students with opportunities to develop their skills and confidence. Read on to see what's been going on across our school community this week.
Movie Night Raises ฿4,790 for PACS Charity
On Tuesday, Year 1 & 2 kicked off our series of charity fundraiser movie nights, which will show age appropriate movies over the next three weeks. More than 30 cosy-clothed students attended the eagerly awaited event to see the film Madagascar, raising a grand total of ฿4,790 for Koh Phangan dog charity, PACS.

Armed with delicious snacks and facilitated by our student-led charity council from Years 4 & 6 and teaching staff, the atmosphere was electric.
Si Ri Panya’s youngest members did themselves proud by demonstrating impeccable behaviour while having an enjoyable social night with their friends. Setting the tone for what has fast become an occasion to be remembered.
Well done to everyone who contributed to making this evening such a success! We are sincerely grateful to our school community for playing a part in transforming the lives of dogs on our special island. Your kindness and generosity make a real difference.
Friday's Special Assembly Celebration of World Book Day
Matilda, Alice in Wonderland, Girls Sleepover Party, Spider-man and many more of our favourite book characters turned up to today's Friday assembly to help us celebrate and promote reading.
Fun was had as students' bravely stood up and shared something about the marvellous characters they'd come as and we talked about stories we loved and why reading is cool.
World Book Day is such an important event, for all children. Books play a crucial role in developing vocabulary, comprehension, creativity, and critical thinking.
For Key Stage 1 & 2, stories provide children with the opportunity to immerse themselves in different worlds, explore new ideas, and develop empathy for others by stepping into the shoes of different characters.
As Si Ri Panyans move into Key Stage 2 and beyond, their ability to discuss and engage with texts in meaningful ways build on this early foundation. This not only strengthens their literacy skills but also fosters confidence in communication.
Some of our prize winners for best costume, featured above. A special shout-out goes to Sebby, Yr 1 who said to his mother when leaving to school on Friday morning, "I never win anything!" It just shows you, you never know what you can achieve when you put your mind to it!
World Book Day encourages us to take a moment to acknowledge a love of books at home and school—whether that's through shared reading, independent reading, or even storytelling. We hope that celebrating this day has a positive impact on your child’s development, but most of all, ignites a lifetime's love of reading. Reading gives us space to think, to relax our minds and is the gift that keeps on giving!
"No Art, No Life!" - Year 8 Sculptors Work on their Mexican Project
"Art is the question. Art is the answer" - anonymous...
Year 8 Sculpture class recently explored the world of fantastical Mexican creatures known Alebrijies, which have animal like features like horns, wings, claws, fins, fangs and even human features!
When finished, these wonderfully creative pieces of art are covered with brightly coloured paint and patterns. We cannot wait to see the finished products from this inspired class of Teacher Annye's.

DISSECTION CLUB
A new hands-on experience
Our Secondary students opt to choose from a range of different enrichment activities, and one them this term is Dissection Club with Teacher Hannah. In this club, students can explore biology by looking at real examples.
Our first session was examining eyeballs, which many of the students found fascinating - as you can see from these photos!
This is a first rate ASA for future scientists, medics, analysist and countless other professions that rely on expert forensic investigation.
Developing Digital Skills for the Future
Year 8 have been working on their own artificial intelligence (AI) fantasy business ideas using a range of digital tools including Flint AI for education, Canva and Google slides.
These are cutting edge skills that can open all manner of opportunities to students. We encourage full immersion when learning how to use technology on the job, which helps build real life transferable skills that students can utilize now and in the future.
